WordPress Accessibility and WCAG Improvements
About this Gig
I audit and fix website accessibility issues on WordPress, Wix, and Shopify, helping visitors navigate, read content, and use forms more easily.
My work targets agreed WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA criteria. If your project specifies WCAG 2.1 AA, please share that requirement.
- Depending on your package and confirmed scope, I can:
- Review WAVE findings and manually check selected pages
- Fix text contrast and image alt text
- Improve headings, page structure, and descriptive links
- Correct form labels and accessible button names
- Address keyboard navigation and visible focus issues
- Retest completed fixes and document remaining barriers
Basic covers an audit only. Standard and Premium include agreed repairs on selected pages. Platform restrictions and external apps may require vendor support.
You receive a report showing reviewed pages, findings, and recommended actions. Repair packages also include a change summary and retest results.
Working toward ADA compliance? This service supports technical accessibility improvements, not legal certification.

FAQ
Which website platforms do you support?
I offer accessibility reviews and agreed fixes for HTML, WordPress, Wix, and Shopify. The changes available depend on your theme, editor, apps, and access permissions. Please send your URL so I can confirm what can be addressed.
What website accessibility issues can you fix?
Depending on the agreed scope, I address issues involving color contrast, image alt text, heading structure, link text, form labels, button names, keyboard navigation, and visible focus. I confirm the repair list before starting.
Do you work with WCAG 2.1 or WCAG 2.2?
My default technical target is the agreed WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA criteria. If your project specifies WCAG 2.1 AA, please provide that requirement. The report identifies the scope reviewed and any remaining issues.
Do you use automated scans or manual testing?
I combine automated findings with manual checks of the agreed pages and features. Checks may include keyboard navigation, focus visibility, headings, labels, and contrast. Any screen reader testing must be expressly included in the agreed scope.
Can you fix WAVE errors or Wix Accessibility Wizard issues?
I can review reported findings and repair issues within the agreed scope and available platform controls. Alerts require investigation and do not always indicate failures. A clean scan alone does not establish that a website is accessible.
Are Shopify checkout and third party apps included?
They are included only when expressly agreed and technically editable. Some checkout features, embedded widgets, and external apps require platform or vendor support. I document limitations and recommended next steps.
Will you install an accessibility plugin or overlay?
The core service focuses on reviewing and correcting the website itself. Any proposed plugin requires your approval. Installing a plugin or overlay is not treated as proof of accessibility or legal compliance.
