FAQ
What do you need from me to get started?
Send me the letters or characters you need, your preferred style, intended use, and any references or typography examples you like.
Can you design a completely custom typeface?
Yes. I can create custom letterforms with a consistent style, proportions, spacing, and visual character based on your requirements.
Can you create only specific letters or initials?
Yes. If you only need initials, monogram letters, or a small selection of custom characters, I can design those without creating a complete alphabet.
What's the difference between custom lettering and a custom typeface?
Custom lettering focuses on specific words, letters, or phrases. A custom typeface involves creating a consistent set of characters that work together as one typographic system.
Can you design uppercase and lowercase letters?
Yes. Uppercase and lowercase characters are available in the higher packages, depending on the number of characters and scope required.
Can you create numbers and special characters?
Yes. Numbers and special characters can be included when you need a more complete typeface system. Please select the appropriate package or message me first for larger sets.
Can you create typography for a logo?
Yes. I can create custom lettering specifically for logos, including wordmarks, initials, monograms, and distinctive brand typography.
Will I receive vector or editable files?
Yes, vector/source files are included according to the selected package. If you need a specific file format, please mention it before ordering.
Can I send you a reference font?
Yes. You can send typography references to communicate the style you want. I will create custom lettering based on your direction rather than simply copying an existing typeface.
Can you redesign an existing typeface or lettering?
Yes. Send me the existing lettering and explain what you want changed, and I can develop a new direction based on your requirements.
