What type of editing will my manuscript receive? Will every manuscript receive all four levels of editing?
Not necessarily. The editing approach depends on your manuscript’s needs. I’ll first assess your manuscript, then apply the level of editing it needs, which may include developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, proofreading, or a combination.
What’s included in the editorial assessment?
I’ll review your manuscript’s strengths, weaknesses, structure, clarity, consistency, reader experience, and overall publishing readiness.
How will I get to know what you edited?
You receive two versions of your manuscript. 1. A tracked changes copy showing exactly where and what was edited so you can review, accept, or reject changes before finalizing. 2. A clean copy with all revisions incorporated.
Do you edit both American and British English?
Yes. I can edit your manuscript using either American or British English conventions based on your preference.
How much would it cost?
It depends on your manuscript length and editing scope. Check the gig packages for pricing, or message me and I'll help you figure out the right fit. Add-ons like formatting or publishing support affect the final cost.
How long does it take?
It depends on your manuscript length, the level of editing needed, and whether you've added services like formatting or publishing support. Timelines shown in the packages are for first delivery within the agreed scope. Revisions may extend the timeline depending on the feedback.

What format should my document be in?
I work in MS Word (.docx) or Google Docs with editing access enabled. This lets me track every change so you can review, accept, or reject edits before finalizing your manuscript. Avoid PDFs as they are not editable and require conversion, which can introduce text errors and delay the project.
Will you rewrite or add new content to my manuscript?
This service is for editing, not ghostwriting. Minor sentence restructuring is included, but substantial rewriting or new content requires a custom order.
