Introduction how it works.


Rhinoceros 3D software is composed of many layers written in many programming languages all stacked on top of each other. For the sake of clarity, let me simplify the stack overview a bit:


1) C++ core level very deep inside,

2) C++ plugins level with Visual Basic RhinoScript API on top.

3) C# .Net plugins level with RhinoCommon API and Eto Forms Graphic interface on top.

4) Python script level with C# implementation of Python interpreter for Rhino3D of version 7 and C implementation of Python Interpreter for Rhino of version 8.

5) RhinoScriptSyntax a library functions used by the Python Scripting engine in Rhino3D.


My proposition to you is to code the 3D modeling process using the RhinoScriptSyntax library. The main advantage of RhinoScriptSyntax Python scripting is its easy-to-use API that runs on multiple platforms, MacOS and Windows.
