Not necessarily. I can work from screenshots, a sample report and your Odoo version, then send you the code or module to install. If you prefer, I can work on a staging copy you give me access to
Will the changes break when I upgrade Odoo?
I use inheritance instead of editing core files, so changes are much safer to carry through upgrades. Larger version jumps may still need a quick check.
