In a social-media-driven world where 'likes' and emojis as comments reign supreme, it's important to receive constructive, honest, and objective feedback on your poetry to truly hone your craft. While praise is a wonderful thing and keeps our inner critics from going haywire, feedback that's constructive goes an even longer way. "I like this" just doesn't cut it!

This poetry critique service isn't meant to be harsh. It's meant to be candid and take your words to the next level. It's also encouraging and reassuring. :)

What to expect:

• I'll point out what's working and what isn't (clichés in particular).
• Commentary on literary devices (i.e. metaphor, litany, alliteration, motif, etc.) or lack thereof
• Commentary on flow, aesthetics, overall messages, imagery, diction, and clarity.

I've been professionally editing and critiquing poems and poetry manuscripts (over 500 of them!) for over a decade. I've also been writing poetry since I was 12, and I'm in my thirties now. The reason I'm telling you this isn't to brag, but to let you know that poetry is my greatest passion, and I treat every poem with the respect and attention that it so rightfully deserves.
