Can you convert an STL file to STEP?
Yes. I rebuild the mesh as a solid SolidWorks model with real features, then export a STEP file. It is a rebuilt model, not an automatic mesh conversion.
Can you convert OBJ files and 3D scan meshes too?
Yes. OBJ, STL and most scan meshes work. Send the file and tell me which dimensions matter most.
Will I be able to edit the model afterwards?
Yes. The SolidWorks file has a clean feature tree and real dimensions, so you can change sizes, holes and fillets.
How close will it match my mesh?
It follows the mesh and the critical dimensions you give me. Very organic shapes may be simplified, and I tell you before I start if that applies.
Which files will I receive?
A native SLDPRT file and a STEP file. A 2D drawing PDF is included in the higher packages.
What do I need to send to start?
