I will extract data from PDF invoices to excel using ocr and python
About this Gig
Stop paying your team to manually copy and paste data from PDF
I build automated Python workflows that extract structured data from digital and scanned PDF documents, saving you hours of repetitive manual data entry.
Whether your PDFs are clean digital exports or messy scanned images, my system uses advanced OCR and custom extraction rules to pull exactly what you need.
WHAT I EXTRACT:
Invoice Number, Date, and Due Date
Vendor and Customer Details
Subtotals, Taxes, and Final Totals
Currency and Line Items (on standard layouts)
HOW IT WORKS:
1. You send me your PDFs (and your desired Excel template, if any).
2. I run them through my automated OCR/Extraction engine.
3. The system flags any highly degraded scans for manual review.
4. I deliver a clean, business-ready Excel/CSV file and a Summary Report.
WHY CHOOSE ME?
Hybrid Engine: Uses native text extraction first, OCR only when needed (faster and more accurate).
Human-in-the-Loop: Uncertain fields are flagged so your team only reviews exceptions, not 1,000 perfect rows.
Data Security: I am happy to sign an NDA. Sample files are deleted after delivery.

FAQ
What if my invoices are scanned images or photos?
My system includes an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) engine specifically designed to read text from scanned documents and images.
Is my financial data safe with you?
Yes. I treat all documents as strictly confidential and am happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before you send any files.
Can you extract line items (product names, quantities, prices)?
Yes, for standard table layouts. Please send a sample via message first so I can verify the layout is compatible with the line-item extractor.
What if the system makes a mistake?
The system includes a confidence-scoring engine. Any document or field it is unsure about is flagged in an "Error Report" so you only spend time reviewing exceptions.
