I'm Juan Carlos, a SOLIDWORKS engineer in Mexico (US time zones) with a background in injection mold design, CNC and plastics (CSWP Mold Tools). I help engineering teams in two ways. Automation: VBA/C# macros and add-ins for SolidWorks, Excel dashboards and SQL integrations that eliminate manual work. Plastic part validation: DFM review and injection simulation (fill, pack, cooling, warpage) to catch defects before the mold is built. I understand the production problem, not just the CAD side.
FAQ
Can you fix an existing macro?
Yes. Send me the macro and a sample file. I'll review it and quote the fix; small fixes usually fit the Basic package.
My task isn't listed. Can you still help?
Probably. If you repeat it in SolidWorks, Excel or between both, it can usually be automated. Send me a short description and a sample file.
Do I get the source code?
By default you get a perpetual license to use the compiled add-in or locked macro inside your company. For full ownership of the code, add the "Source code + full IP transfer" extra.
VBA macro or C# add-in: which one do I need?
VBA is great for one focused task. A C# add-in is better for multi-step workflows, a custom UI, several users, or protected logic. I'll recommend one after seeing your task.
Which SolidWorks versions do you support?
I build against the SolidWorks API and test on your sample files. Tell me your exact version (e.g. 2024 SP2) and language before ordering.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes. You can also send files with dummy data; I only need the structure to build and test the tool. I delete your files 30 days after delivery.
What happens after delivery?
Bugs within the agreed scope are fixed free for 14 days. New features or changes are a new order, so pricing stays clear.
What does a revision include?
Adjustments to the delivered tool within the agreed scope. A new feature, new file type or new workflow after delivery is a new order.
