FAQ
What do I need to provide to get started on my garage conversion plan?
You will need to provide a rough sketch or drawing with basic measurements of your current garage, clear photos of the interior and exterior, and any specific layout ideas you have for the new living space. If you have an existing survey or site map, that is helpful too.
Are these drawings guaranteed to pass my local city permit office?
The plans are drafted according to standard residential building codes (IRC) and typical city drawing guidelines. However, since every municipality has unique zoning laws, setbacks, and rules, minor adjustments may be requested by your building department.
Can you handle custom sizes or multi-story garage conversions/ADUs?
Yes. While the standard packages cover single-story conversions up to 1,200 sq ft, custom orders can easily be created for two-story garages, detached over-garage apartments, or larger detached ADUs. Send a message with your project dimensions for a tailored quote.
What file formats will I receive upon project completion?
You will receive print-ready high-resolution PDF files formatted to standard architectural sheet sizes (such as ARCH D 24x36 or ANSI B 11x17) for easy submission to your city council. The editable AutoCAD source file (.DWG) is also included in the Premium package or as an add-on.
