I will design plastic injection molds and dfm optimized parts

About this gig
Are you developing a plastic component and need it engineered for tooling and high-volume manufacturing?
I provide complete plastic injection mold design and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) optimization to ensure your parts can be molded cleanly without costly tooling revisions, sink marks, or ejection failures.
What I provide:
DFM Analysis: Draft angle verification, uniform wall thickness checks, undercut resolution, and parting line placement.
Mold Tooling Design: 2-plate, 3-plate, core/cavity split inserts, standard mold bases, side-actions/lifters, and ejector pin layouts.
Gate & Cooling Layout: Sprue/runner sizing, gate location optimization, and cooling channel integration.
Technical Drawings: Fully dimensioned 2D engineering drawings with GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and BOM plate lists.
Software: SolidWorks & Siemens NX
Deliverables: STEP / IGES, Native CAD (.sldprt / .prt / .sldasm), DXF/DWG, and PDF 2D drawings.
Please contact me with your concept or 3D model before placing an order to confirm tooling specifications.

FAQ
What information do I need to provide before starting?
Please provide a 3D model of your part (STEP, IGES, or native CAD), the intended plastic material (e.g., PP, ABS, PC, POM), estimated production volume, and your preferred mold standard (such as HASCO, DME, or custom tooling dimensions).
What if my 3D model is not ready for injection molding?
I will review your geometry and perform a full DFM (Design for Manufacturing) check. If adjustments are needed—such as adding draft angles, evening out wall thicknesses, or eliminating undercuts—I will update the model or guide you through the required changes.
Do you supply standard mold bases like HASCO or DME?
Yes. Standard mold bases (HASCO, DME, LKM, or custom configurations) are used based on your toolmaker's specifications to ensure seamless fabrication.
What file formats will I receive upon project completion?
You will receive standard 3D neutral files (STEP AP214, IGES), native parametric CAD assemblies with complete feature trees (SolidWorks or Siemens NX), and detailed 2D engineering drawings in PDF and DWG/DXF formats.
Can you design side-actions, sliders, or lifters for parts with undercuts?
Yes. If your geometry requires external undercuts or internal snap catches, mechanical sliders, angle pins, or lifters are engineered directly into the tooling assembly to ensure clean ejection.
