About me
I’m Banerys González, a Dominican visual artist exploring identity, memory, emotions and the stories that connect us to people and places. My process is intuitive and personal. I work with painting, mixed media and recycled materials such as wood and fabric, while also creating custom portraits and meaningful pieces inspired by photographs and memories. Founder and visual artist behind OCRE, an independent artistic project developed through original artwork, commissioned pieces and creative research. My experience includes original paintings, watercolor and acrylic portraits, mixed-media artworks, personalized paintings, pet portraits and artworks inspired by meaningful memories, places and personal stories. Through OCRE, I have created commissioned work for private clients and collectors in the Dominican Republic and abroad. My artwork has also been exhibited in the Dominican Republic and New York, and original pieces have found homes internationally. I manage each project from the initial concept and research through the creative process, execution, documentation and delivery. Alongside commissioned work, I continue developing my independent studio practice and building my own artistic language and body of work.
