About this gig
Want to capture the classic 8-bit bleeps and bloops of the golden days of video gaming? I create authentic 8-bit songs using NES hardware samples. NO COMMERCIAL LICENSING FEES! You own them for the price shown!
NOTE: I do not work on games with extreme violence, zombies, gore or adult content.
How Do You Make These?
I can do authentic NES hardware music as well variations such as the Sunsoft DPCM bass trick and Namco N163 chip, as well as full blown Chiptune inspired remix style pieces. Send me a message first to get a proper quote. I use authentic hardware samples and Famitracker for true NSF quality.
Lets Get Started!
Games with high quality music are always more memorable than those with cheap loops! I can help your game find its sonic identity that sticks in the minds of your players. Send me a message about your game, how many minutes of music you expect to need and some example links of similar sounding songs you think would serve as inspiration, and we'll get right to it.

FAQ
Is this a royalty free song? Do I own it?
Unlike other sellers, you are paying for a song that you own! Its all yours to use wherever. You can even put it on an album and say you made it if you want.
Can You Do Sunsoft's DPCM Bass Trick like in Fester's Quest and Journey to Sillius?
Yes, we can totally do the thick bass sound you hear in a lot of Sunsoft's NES games. It cost extra though, and usually its best to commit to this for the entire project since it sounds weird if only some songs use it. Let me know up front and we can make a quote properly.
Can I Hear it before I buy?
I make each piece from scratch. If you are a new customer and we have never worked together, I will make you a small sample free of charge according to your order requirements. It will have an audio water mark playing over it. I will only do this one time. If you like the sample, we can proceed.
I have a large bulk order. Can I get a quote?
8bit Nintendo/16-bit arcade like sounds $10-$20 each Aaa high quality sounds $20-$30 each Chiptune 8bit music - $80 per minute if completed audio Ambient music - $60 per minute Orchestral/contemporary AAA game music - $120 per minute of completed audio All prices include reasonable revision.
How authentic are these?
I can make them completely authentic just as you'd hear on a cartridge (even in NSF format, the Nintendo's native music format) or we can add more channels effects and even go all the way to modern sounds. Just let me know what you like.
I asked for a seamless loop, but I hear a pause or a pop!
All of my files loop seamlessly if you ask. I even confirm it before sending. Not all players (Windows Media Player for example) will loop seamlessly even if the track is set up for that and you put it on repeat. I suggest trying in iTunes. For whatever reason, it always works as expected.
I want to order a cover song, do I own the rights?
You own the rights to my version. But, that does not mean you are protected from DMCA takedowns by original artist. Additionally, you will have to sign a document stating the cover song is for 'personal use only' before we proceed with such an order.
When you say 'sampled from actual chip' is that a copyright violation?
No, I just mean instead of recreating the same drum sounds each time I need them, I have samples of the end product which I use as a time saving shortcut. The sounds produced by chips are not copyrighted anymore than the C key on a piano can be copyrighted.
I only need 10 seconds, is it 30% of the cost of 30 seconds?
No, the 30 second cost is basically the bare minimum price because setting up instruments takes as much time for 10 seconds as it does for 30 seconds.
