I will assess your nas and storage infrastructure for reliability risks
Storage and Backup Recovery Specialist
About this Gig
Is your storage infrastructure actually reliable or does it just look healthy?
I review your storage environment to identify reliability risks, dependencies, single points of failure, and recovery gaps before a failure forces you to find out the hard way.
What you get: a focused technical review, prioritized findings, and practical next steps, scaled to the package you choose from a single system review up to a full recovery-readiness assessment.
Good fit if you've had storage incidents, are planning a migration, or just want an independent check before something breaks.
This is an assessment and recommendations service it doesn't include hands-on remediation or guarantee results. Message me before ordering if your environment is complex.

FAQ
1. Does this assessment prove my storage is reliable?
No. An assessment cannot guarantee future uptime or performance. I evaluate the available evidence, identify reliability risks and single points of failure, and clearly separate validated, assumed, and unvalidated areas. Where evidence is insufficient, I recommend appropriate testing.
2. What will I receive at the end?
You will receive a written assessment covering the areas reviewed, identified risks, dependencies, single points of failure, severity/priorities, and practical next steps. The report is specific to your environment rather than a generic storage checklist.
3. Which package should I choose?
Basic is best for one specific storage concern. Standard is for a broader environment review and prioritized risks. Premium adds failure-scenario analysis, recovery readiness, and a prioritized improvement/validation roadmap. Message me if unsure.
4. Is this a hands-on remediation service?
No. This Gig focuses on assessment and recommendations, not making configuration or infrastructure changes. I will explain what should be addressed and how to validate it. Hands-on implementation can be discussed separately if needed.
5. Do you need remote access to my systems?
Not necessarily. Many assessments can be performed using configuration exports, logs, architecture diagrams, metrics, and a walkthrough. If deeper access would materially improve the assessment, I will explain what is needed before proceeding.
6. Can you assess a complex or poorly documented environment?
Yes, but scope matters. Multi-site environments, mixed vendors, limited documentation, or large storage estates may require a larger package or custom scope. Message me first if the environment is complex so we do not undersize the assessment.
7. What if you can't determine the root cause or risk from the evidence available?
I won't fill gaps with assumptions. I'll document what's known, what's suspected, and what additional information or testing is required.
8.My environment already had incidents / is messy — still a fit?
Yes, that's a common reason people order this. If it's genuinely large or complex (multi-site, mixed vendors, no documentation), message me first so I can recommend the right package — undersizing scope just means an incomplete report.
9. Will you test failure scenarios?
That depends on the package. The higher-tier assessment can include failure-scenario and recovery-readiness analysis. Destructive testing or live failover is not assumed and would require explicit scope, authorization, and appropriate safeguards.
10. What should I provide before ordering?
Please provide a short environment overview, architecture or topology information, the main concern, relevant logs/configuration data, recent incidents or changes, and any previous troubleshooting. Remove passwords, API keys, and other credentials before sharing.
