I have been a hands-on short-term rental host since 2019, giving me years of real-world experience, seeing a rental from both the host's perspective and the guest's perspective. My experience goes far beyond simply creating a listing. I understand the small details that can affect a guest's expectations, experience, and ultimately their review. Through hosting, I have learned how important it is for a listing to be clear, accurate, and honest before a guest books. I understand what guests need to know about sleeping arrangements, amenities, parking, property access, stairs, terrain, check-in, house rules, and other details that can easily cause confusion when they are missing or unclear. My experience also includes guest communication, property preparation, cleaner coordination, final walkthroughs, supplies and amenities, check-in information, and local recommendations. I now use that real-world experience to review short-term rental listings from a guest's point of view. I look for things a host may not notice themselves-unclear or missing information, possible guest confusion, overlooked details, and areas where expectations could be clearer. I provide practical, personalized recommendations based on what I have learned through years of actually hosting guests, with the goal of helping hosts create a clearer listing and a better overall guest experience.
