What genres do you beta read?
I beta read romance, fantasy, YA, and thriller manuscripts, including stories that blend genres, such as novel, fantasy romance, romantic suspense, and YA fantasy. If you're unsure whether your manuscript is a good fit, feel free to message me before ordering.
What will you look for while reading my manuscript?
I’ll pay attention to pacing, plot, character development, dialogue, tension, emotional impact, story flow, continuity, worldbuilding, and reader engagement. I’ll also point out confusing, repetitive, rushed, or slow sections when they affect the reading experience.
Can I tell you what I’m most concerned about?
Absolutely. If there’s something specific you want another set of eyes on whether it’s pacing, a character arc, the ending, romance, plot clarity, or anything else let me know before I start reading. I’ll keep those concerns in mind throughout the manuscript.
What will I receive?
You’ll receive a clear beta reader report with honest reader reactions, specific observations, and practical suggestions. Depending on the package you choose, you may also receive chapter-by-chapter feedback and in-line comments.
Do you work with first-time authors?
Yes. You don’t need to be an experienced author to work with me. I’ll give you honest feedback while respecting your writing style and the story you’re trying to tell.
What formats do you accept?
I accept Microsoft Word, PDF, and Google Docs. If you’re using another format, feel free to message me before ordering.
Will my manuscript remain confidential?
Yes. Your manuscript and the feedback I provide are treated as private and confidential. I will not share your work with others.
Do you rewrite or edit the manuscript?
Beta reading is focused on reader feedback rather than rewriting your story. I’ll point out areas that may need attention and explain how they affected me as a reader. If your package includes line-level or proofreading notes, those will be limited to what is included in that package.
What if my manuscript isn't finished yet?
That's fine. You can send a completed section or unfinished manuscript as long as it fits the word count included in your selected package. Just let me know what you'd like me to focus on
