Do I need to give you remote access to my firewall?
Yes, typically via TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or SSH/HTTPS admin access to your Fortigate device. If your firewall is on-premises and not remotely accessible, we can arrange a scheduled screen-share session where you control the keyboard while I guide you.
What information do you need from me before you start?
Your Fortigate model, current firmware version, ISP details (single or dual), a rough network diagram if you have one, and what you're trying to achieve (e.g., VPN for remote staff, segmenting a guest network). If you're not sure, message me and I'll help you figure out what's needed.
Can you work with firewalls other than Fortigate?
My core expertise is Fortigate/FortiOS, but I also have experience with Cisco devices. Message me before ordering if you're using a different brand so I can confirm I'm a good fit.
Will there be downtime during the setup?
Some configuration changes require a brief service interruption (usually a few minutes). I'll schedule changes at a time that works for you and let you know in advance if downtime is expected.
What happens if something breaks after you're done?
All packages include revisions to address any configuration issues within the delivery scope. I also provide documentation of every change made, so you (or your IT team) can reference it later. For ongoing support beyond the original scope, we can discuss a separate arrangement.
