Do you outsource work?
No. All documents will be edited by myself personally!
Can you edit in US English?
Absolutely. Although I'm from England, I'm incredibly familiar with the inconsistencies between UK and US English spelling, etc.
Do you use grammar-correction software, such as Grammarly?
Never. I edit all documents personally and have extensive experience in the correct use of grammar, punctuation, etc.
Do you translate English as well?
No, but I'm happy to edit any work that has been translated into English.
Do you write original content for clients?
No, but at my client's request I am happy to provide suggestions, provided I am well-versed in their subject matter. I do, however, provide recommendations and corrections for sentence structure, flow, and clarity. Please feel free to contact me for further details.
Do I (the customer) have full rights to this content?
Absolutely. You have full ownership over your work and are free to make further edits, publish it, and attribute it to yourself or others - although I would never be upset by an editing credit!
Why do you provide two edited documents?
I provide a document edited with Track Changes enabled to allow you to clearly see all edits and suggestions implemented and maintain a record of my work. I also provide a clean, fully-edited document that is to the same formatting standard as the document originally submitted to me.
Is this service confidential?
Absolutely. All work submitted is edited by myself personally and is never shared with any other parties. I am happy to follow any other security measures required, such as signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Do you proofread websites?
Absolutely! Please contact me directly if you are unable to submit a word document with the website content and we can discuss the best approach to take - pricing will be based off of an estimated word count if one cannot be provided.
What format should I send the document in?
I edit all documents in Microsoft Word on a MacBook Air - please submit the document in the .doc or .docx format.
