About this gig
Moving a WordPress site is the moment most people dread. One mistake
and the site is down, the emails stop, the store stops taking orders.
That's the part I handle.
I'm a web developer running my own server infrastructure, so I work at
the server level instead of trusting a migration plugin. Database
fixes, DNS, .htaccess I do it myself.
WHAT I MIGRATE
- Any host to any host
- Root domain to subdomain, or back
- New domain, or a different folder
- WooCommerce, with orders and customers intact
- Multisite
cPanel, Plesk, CyberPanel, SiteGround, Kinsta, WP Engine, Cloudways, VPS.
HOW IT WORKS
Full backup first. On Standard and Premium I build and test on the new
host while your old site stays live, then switch. No downtime.
Afterwards I check SSL, permalinks, internal URLs, emails and forms,
and send you a short report.
WHAT I NEED
WordPress admin, current hosting, new hosting.
You don't need to hand over your domain registrar login. I'll tell you
which DNS records to change, or you can add me as a limited user.
Send me your URL and where you're moving to, and I'll flag anything
unusual before you order.

FAQ
Will my site go down during the migration?
On Standard and Premium, no. I build and test your site on the new host while the old one stays live, then switch the DNS. On Basic there may be a short window while DNS propagates. If uptime matters to you, take Standard.
What if something breaks?
I take a full backup before touching anything, so the original site can always be restored. After migrating I test SSL, permalinks, internal links, forms and emails before I mark the order delivered.
Do you need my domain registrar login?
No. I'll send you the exact DNS records to change, which takes two minutes. If you'd rather I did it, most registrars let you add a limited user without sharing your main password.
Will my emails keep working?
If your email is on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or similar, it's not affected: I only change the records pointing to the website and leave your MX and authentication records untouched. If your mailboxes live on the old hosting itself, message me before ordering, it's a separate job.
Can you migrate a WooCommerce store?
Yes, with orders, customers, products and coupons intact. Stores go in the Premium package because they need extra checks on the database and on the checkout after the switch.
