I will fix the conversion tracking gap between google ads and ga4
GA4 and Google Tag Manager specialist for conversion tracking
About this Gig
Google Ads says one number. GA4 says another. Neither matches what actually happened.
That gap is not random. It almost always comes down to four causes, and they separate quickly when you look in the right order.
- Attribution model mismatch. Ads reports conversions against the click date, GA4 against the session date, so the totals never tie.
- Different conversion windows between the two platforms.
- Consent Mode. Without UK and EEA consent signals, Ads models the gap while GA4 simply loses the data, so the two diverge structurally rather than randomly.
- Cross domain measurement. If part of your funnel sits on another domain, GA4 ends the session at the handoff and credits the conversion to the wrong source.
What you get: a written reconciliation naming which causes drive your specific gap, the exact setting to change for each, who needs to change it, and what to check afterwards to confirm it worked.
What I will not do: promise revenue uplift. That is not in my control. What I promise is numbers you can trust and defend.
Marketing analytics is my day job. UK based.

FAQ
Why do my Google Ads and GA4 numbers never match exactly?
They never will, because the platforms count differently by design. The goal is not identical numbers. It is knowing exactly why they differ, and removing the causes that are genuine defects.
What access do you need from me?
Read-only access to your GA4 property and Google Ads account, plus one example of a number that looks wrong. For the Premium package I need edit access to apply the fixes, and I document every change I make.
What if you find nothing wrong?
Then I will say so plainly and show you exactly what I checked, so you can rule tracking out and look elsewhere with confidence. In practice a persistent gap between the two platforms almost always has an identifiable cause.
