Do you provide source files or templates?
Yes, I can provide source files if this is agreed before the project starts. Depending on the project, I may work in different professional page-layout tools, so it’s important to confirm this in advance. I design complete books only and do not provide standalone templates.
Do you handle complex or large-scale book projects?
Yes. I'm comfortable with complex and long-form books, including technical, academic-leaning, and image-heavy projects. The same structured approach applies to smaller books as well.
Is this service suitable for first-time authors?
Yes. I regularly work with first-time authors as well as experienced publishers. I’ll guide you through the technical and layout decisions while keeping the process clear, structured, and professional.
Do you provide printer-ready files?
Yes. Final files are delivered print-ready with bleed, trim, and prepress checks. Including ready for Amazon, IngramSpark, Lulu, Mixam etc.
How long does the book design process usually take?
Most books are completed within 10 working days, depending on complexity and how quickly feedback is provided. You’ll receive an initial design sample or first layout within 5 working days. Larger or more complex projects may take 3–6 weeks. Extensive revision rounds can extend the timeline.
Do you edit, rewrite, or correct the text?
Text editing or rewriting is not included and should be done before design begins. If I notice a clear typo, I’ll flag it and only correct it with your approval.
Are images included, or do I need to supply them?
Images are not included and should be supplied by the client in high resolution. Basic image preparation (cropping, sizing, and light correction) is included when needed. Image enhancement and AI-generated imagery or icons can be provided as an optional add-on.
Do you work with books in languages other than English?
Yes. I’ve worked with English, Dutch, French, Hebrew, Sanskrit, German and Italian. Other languages are possible. Hebrew books are priced separately due to complex typesetting.
Can I see examples or samples of your book design work?
Yes. I can share my portfolio for reference. Design samples are prepared after the offer is accepted and are used as the basis for the full layout. All books are designed from scratch. I don’t use templates. This allows for a more personalised result, even if it takes slightly more time.
What happens after delivery, do you offer support, revisions or updates?
Yes. You’re welcome to contact me after delivery for questions or updates. Minor corrections (such as a single spelling error) are usually handled free of charge. Larger updates or content changes can be quoted separately.
