You will receive a structured Assessment Report evaluating plot, structure, pacing, suspense, characterization, motivation, stakes, point of view, plausibility, action scenes, climax, and resolution. Selected comments in the manuscript will illustrate key findings.
Is this a developmental edit?
This service provides developmental feedback at the story level, but it is not a comprehensive developmental edit with extensive comments on every page. It focuses on the manuscript’s principal strengths, problems, and revision priorities.
What do “selected manuscript comments” mean?
I will place comments at representative points that illustrate important strengths or concerns discussed in the Assessment Report. This is not line-by-line annotation, and repeated instances of the same issue may not receive separate comments.
Does this service include copyediting or proofreading?
No. I do not correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, or sentence-level issues throughout the manuscript. This service evaluates the story and provides an actionable revision roadmap.
What thriller subgenres do you assess?

Can you assess an unfinished manuscript?
Yes. The Opening and Partial Assessment packages can be used for incomplete manuscripts. My conclusions will be limited to the material provided and will not evaluate the complete character arcs, climax, or resolution unless those portions are included.
Will you evaluate my book’s potential as a series?
Series Development Notes are available as an optional extra with the Partial or Full Assessment. They address continuing character arcs, unresolved threads, sequel opportunities, and possible future directions, but do not include plotting an entire series.
Can I ask questions after receiving my assessment?
Yes. Each package includes one round of reasonable written follow-up questions submitted within seven days of delivery. This allows you to request clarification about the Assessment Report or manuscript comments. It does not include revisions to the report, review of rewritten or additional material
