Work experience

Amazon

Software Engineering Consultant

Amazon • Freelance

Jun 2022 - Dec 20226 mos

Passed rigorous Amazon technical assessments and received multiple role offers (Pharmacy, Internal Tools, CTPS), selecting CTPS based on recruiter guidance for perceived high-impact opportunity. Completed intensive 6-week onboarding and training on Amazon’s internal tooling ecosystem, including proprietary build systems (e.g., BUILDa all-in-one compiler) and large-scale monorepo workflows. Contributed to legacy programs during a transitional phase, gaining deep exposure to the challenges of maintaining and migrating code in environments with impending deprecation. Navigated complex team dynamics in a high-pressure corporate setting, developing strong resilience, self-advocacy, and independent problem-solving skills when collaboration proved inconsistent.

Intuit

Senior Software Engineering Consultant

Intuit • Freelance

Apr 2021 - Apr 20221 yr

Worked on Tank, an opensource multi-million-dollar project that provides heavy test loads to all Intuit services. Built Selenium scripts that simulate users progressing through the web UI. API calls from browser to server are recorded to XML files. XML files are uploaded to Tank and then Tank is configured to execute the test load plan. Peeled away an onion of tech debt to produce bug fixes and feature enhancements to Tank. Taught team how to prepare for and run the load test - covered scripting, uploading, validation, running smoke test, and running in production on Mondays.
