Female Lead Probation Officer
Ministry of Defense • Full-time

I previously worked as a female lead within the Ministry of Justice, specialising in the management and support of women with complex emotional, behavioural, and relational histories. This was a specialist role that required extensive professional training, safeguarding expertise, and a high level of emotional intelligence. I was responsible for managing a large and demanding caseload of approximately 60 women, each presenting with a wide range of needs, attitudes, life experiences, and challenges. This included working with individuals affected by trauma, attachment disruption, emotional dysregulation, mental health conditions, substance misuse, and long‑standing patterns of unstable or conflicted relationships. The role required constant assessment of behaviour beyond surface‑level communication — recognising patterns, inconsistencies, emotional drivers, and shifts in presentation, often in high‑pressure or emotionally charged situations. I worked within trauma‑informed and safeguarding frameworks, balancing accountability with compassion, and maintaining clear professional boundaries at all times. This experience demanded calm judgement, careful language, and the ability to interpret behaviour objectively without assumption or blame. I regularly supported individuals who struggled to articulate their needs directly, where behaviour itself was the primary form of communication. My professional background directly informs the way I approach message and behaviour analysis today. I bring a grounded, real‑world understanding of how people communicate under stress, uncertainty, and emotional conflict, and I work with care, discretion, and respect for complexity. My focus is always on helping others make sense of patterns and dynamics in a way that feels emotionally safe, clear, and empowering.
