I will reverse engineer your pcb or circuit board into a kicad schematic and bom
Embedded Firmware and PCB Engineer, ESP32, nRF52, STM32, KiCad
About this Gig
Need a schematic for a board with no documentation? I trace your PCB into a clean KiCad schematic and BOM, so you can repair it, understand it or build it again.
How it works:
- You send clear photos of both sides of the board
- I identify every component and trace each net
- I draw the schematic in KiCad, grouped by function (power, control, I/O)
- You get the BOM, and on Standard and Premium, modern replacements for obsolete parts
Good for:
- Repairing equipment without a service manual
- Replacing obsolete or unavailable parts
- Redesigning a legacy board with current components (Premium)
I repair photovoltaic-inverter and industrial control boards at component level every day, and I have traced industrial power supplies and control boards into full KiCad schematics and BOMs.
PCB troubleshooting: if a board is failing, I can also help find the fault from photos and measurements. Message me first.
Please only order for boards you have the right to reverse engineer.
Send me photos of both sides before ordering so I can confirm the package.

FAQ
What photos do I need to take?
Sharp, well-lit photos of both sides, taken straight on, with every part marking readable. Add close-ups of the ICs and one photo with a ruler for scale. Tell me the layer count if you know it.
What do I receive?
Schematic: the KiCad schematic and a PDF. Schematic + BOM adds the BOM with part numbers and modern replacements for obsolete parts. Schematic + New PCB adds a redesigned PCB in KiCad.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. I'm happy to sign your NDA before you send photos or files.
Can you trace inner layers from photos?
Photos show the outer layers and vias. On boards with 4 or more layers some inner nets may need continuity measurements; I'll tell you before starting if your board needs that.
