I specialize in crafting professional websites tailored for book authors. I know your craft well, as I'm a published author myself; therefore, I bring a unique blend of creativity and storytelling experience to my projects. As a writer, I know the importance of showcasing your author brand, your literary journey, your book(s), and connecting with your readers.
As an experienced WordPress technical support agent, I have more than 7 years of experience working with WordPress users. I have the technical expertise required to elevate your online presence.
I work with custom designs using the native WordPress editor. I don't work with external plugins or builders. I don't want you to depend on third-party external providers for your website. Author websites are not complex and don't require any external extensions or plugins. Besides, you don't want to be troubled with updating plugins in the future or dealing with their technical installation and setup if you decide to change hosts.
If you are using WordPress.com as a host, for example, you might also be limited to installing plugins. I don't want that to be a barrier for you

FAQ
Do I need to provide the content for my website?
Yes. All packages include Content Upload, including the Basic one. You need to provide your author biography, your picture(s), book(s) covers, book blurbs/descriptions, buy links for your books (Amazon link, etc.), other profiles (Goodreads, Smashwords, etc.), reviews, and social media links.
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Yes, all the websites I design are fully responsive, ensuring they work beautifully on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
Can I update my website's content myself? Will you provide a tutorial?
Yes. I will record myself navigating your own website to show you how to update your website (text, images) information. You can also contact me for any doubts you have.
Can you integrate e-commerce features for selling books directly?
No, I don’t. As an author myself, I know it’s more important to sell on specialized online platforms such as Amazon, Barnes&Noble, Kobo, etc. This is where you want sales to happen to increase your visibility and reviews. From my personal view, selling on your website might not be the best option.
Do I need to provide you my own hosting credentials?
No. You need to create a set of administrator credentials for me. Giving your own credentials is not a safe practice. I’ve worked 7+ years with WordPress users who’ve lost access to their site because of a bad actor who took advantage of it. If you don’t know how to do this, I can guide you.
Do you handle hosting, or do I need to purchase my own hosting plan?
You need to buy your own hosting. If you are not sure about purchasing hosting, I can help you with guidance. I will work on your design on my own hosting first, once approved by you, I'll upload it to your hosting.
I have a Starter or Explorer WordPress.com plan and I can't install plugins, will you be able to help me?
Yes, definitely. I don’t use any plugins in these gigs, so I can build your website without any problems.
Besides my author profile and book covers, do I need to provide other images?
We can work around those only. Your blog section will be filled with generic dummy information and copyright-free images. If you feel you need more custom images added to your pages, you can add an extra gig for additional AI-generated images relevant to your website.
Do you provide a theme for the website?
Yes, I use the Assembler block theme which lets you use the WordPress editor at big scale. This theme is free to use.
