Why Cloudflare Workers instead of a traditional server?
Workers run on Cloudflare's edge network, so there are no cold starts and your API responds fast from anywhere in the world, without you managing any servers.
What database do you use with Workers?
Neon PostgreSQL, a serverless Postgres that works natively with Workers' architecture. It's included in the Standard and Premium packages.
Does the Basic package include a database?
No, the Basic package is endpoints only, without a database or authentication. You can add database integration as an extra if needed.
Are the tests run locally or in a real environment?
In a real environment. Premium includes integration tests that run against a live Workers deployment, so what you get has already been validated on the actual edge network.
Can you set up scheduled tasks, like daily jobs?
Yes, cron triggers are included in the Premium package for scheduled or recurring background tasks.
I've never used Cloudflare Workers. Is it hard to maintain afterward?
