I am a produced screenwriter. I have had over twelve films produced (one an HBO World Premiere movie). You can find my Hollywood film credits at the INTERNET MOVIE DATA BASE (IMDB) under Carlton Kenneth Holder.
Two of the most important tools in selling your FILM or TV concept to an INVESTOR, PRODUCER or PRODUCTION COMPANY are the LOGLINE (a one or two sentence description) and SYNOPSIS. They are usually the first things people see regarding your project. A compelling logline or synopsis that jumps off the page can literally MAKE YOUR FILM!

Why do I need a logline?
Whether you're dealing with a private investor or a production company, they probably won't look at any other written material you have or take a meeting with you until they know you have a concept they're interested in. The logline will answer that question for them.
