What do I need to provide before you start?
Please provide your website content, images, logo/branding, preferred colours and examples of styles you like. If you're unsure what you need, message me before ordering and I'll be happy to discuss your project.
Will my website work on mobile devices?
Yes. All websites I create are responsive and designed to work across desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes.
Do you provide the domain name, hosting or other paid services?
Domain, hosting and other third-party costs such as paid APIs, licences or subscriptions aren't included unless stated. I can help with hosting/domain setup where included in your package or purchased as an extra, and I'll discuss any required third-party costs with you first.
Can you add custom functionality or e-commerce features?
I can develop features such as databases, user authentication, API integrations and custom admin functionality. E-commerce isn't included as standard. Please contact me before ordering if you need advanced functionality, online payments or products so I can confirm the scope.
Can I update the website myself after it is finished?
This depends on the website and functionality you choose. If you need to manage content yourself, please let me know before ordering so I can build this into the project requirements.
Do I own the website when it is completed?
Yes. Once the project is completed and paid for, the custom website files and code created specifically for your project will be provided to you. Third-party services, licences, domains and hosting remain subject to their own terms and fees.
How accurate are the delivery times?
I've allowed extra time in each package to complete your website properly, so it may be delivered earlier. Delivery also depends on receiving required content and feedback on time. If requirements or client delays affect the timescale, I'll discuss any necessary extension with you.
What is included in a revision or the original project scope?
Revisions cover reasonable changes to work completed within the agreed scope. New pages, major redesigns or additional features aren't revisions. If you request something outside the agreed scope, I'll discuss any additional cost and delivery time with you before carrying out the work.
What happens after my website is completed?
I'll make sure the agreed website is working correctly when delivered. New features, content changes or ongoing maintenance requested after the project has been completed aren't included unless agreed and can be discussed as additional work.
Will you use my website in your portfolio?
I may ask for permission to showcase the finished website in my portfolio. I won't use your website, business details or project materials for promotional purposes without your permission, and you're completely free to say no.
