Data Management and Reporting – Regional Police (Crime & Traffic)
Jan 2007 - Jun 2010 • 3 yrs 5 mos
Data Management and Reporting – Regional Police (Crime & Traffic) During my tenure (2007-2010) as a Police Constable assigned as a Computer Operator, I was responsible for systematically collecting, organizing, and managing comprehensive regional police data. This included crime statistics categorized by district, tehsil, and police station, as well as traffic violation and fine records organized by vehicle type, violation type, and location. I prepared detailed reports on monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, nine-month, and annual bases to ensure timely and actionable information for operational planning. To achieve this, I leveraged Microsoft Excel, using advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, and conditional formatting, along with other tools to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and efficiency. My work involved compiling large datasets, cleaning and validating information, and creating structured reports that could be easily accessed and analyzed by senior officers. As a result, I significantly improved the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of police data. The reports I generated enabled data-driven decision-making, streamlined reporting processes, and facilitated strategic planning for crime prevention, traffic management, and personnel deployment across the region.
