Sociél Muet Atelier Recovered $200K in prior-period payroll tax overpayments across multiple states and jurisdictions within the first nine months. Identified and positioned an additional $500K refund for capture, leaving the VP with the documented instructions required to preserve it through the Hilton Grand Vacations acquisition. Directed the post-acquisition closeout across 48 state tax accounts, terminating 43 and transitioning the remainder to new ownership. Resolved roughly 20 multi-state penalty notices concentrated in Mississippi, Michigan, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Florida. Authored the closeout SOP and checklist delivered to the BGV VP and HGV Payroll Director, giving the acquiring organization the documented playbook needed to complete the transition cleanly and preserve compliance continuity.

Led the Paychex to Dayforce migration for a PE-backed startup spanning 5K+ employees and 4-5 entities, consolidating 10 regional payroll accounts down to 4-5 and surfacing the Dayforce tax code misconfigurations that later produced multi-state payroll tax notices, then opened agency dialogue to begin cleanup before transitioning out. Realigned payroll with HR and Finance after inheriting a department deliberately siloed by prior leadership, partnering with HR to build a clean California termination process and back-end system rules for four-day work weeks in California and New York, then working directly with the Finance head to establish a swift payment process for California and all states carrying heavy payout deadlines. Trained two team members and standardized system-based SOPs calibrated to a growing acquisition footprint, giving leadership a payroll function structured to scale rather than one dependent on a single point of control.
