If you provide the original English, I may refer to it when the intended meaning or tone needs clarification. However, the focus of this service is how the Japanese reads to a Japanese reader. It does not include a full line-by-line comparison or a complete translation accuracy check.
Will you comment on every sentence?
I read the full text included in your order, but not every sentence will necessarily need a comment. I suggest edits where needed and add comments or explanations when they help clarify an important change or how the Japanese may come across to a Japanese reader.
What if my Japanese needs extensive rewriting or translation?
I can review it as long as the existing Japanese provides a workable foundation, even if substantial editing is needed. If I need to return to the English source and essentially retranslate the text, please message me first. I may suggest a custom offer or my translation service instead.
Can you review longer documents or manuscripts?
Yes! Longer documents and manuscripts are welcome. If your text exceeds the package limit, please message me before ordering, and I can send you a custom offer based on the length and scope of the review.
What is included in a revision?
One revision is included with each package. If you clarify your intended meaning or would like me to reconsider a suggestion, I can review and adjust the relevant part within the original scope. New text or substantial changes may require an additional order or custom offer.
Are there any types of content you may not be able to review?
