Why do I need to contact you before ordering this gig?
Many factors go into creating a website. My availability, your availability, your requirements, and content, etc. Before we commit to a project, we need to be sure that all the pieces are in place and that I can deliver what you need.
What do I need to provide to get started?
To begin, you'll provide your brand guidelines (logo, colors, fonts), high-resolution project images, and the text (copy) for each page. If you're unsure about the text, we can discuss a strategy for it during our discovery.
Is this a custom design, or do you use a template?
This is a fully bespoke service. Every website is designed and built from the ground up to reflect your studio's unique aesthetic and strategic goals. I do not use pre-made templates.
What platform will my website be built on?
I build on platforms that offer the best combination of design flexibility, SEO power, and user-friendly management, such as Webflow or WordPress. We will select the platform that best suits your studio's specific needs for easy portfolio updates and lead management.
What exactly does "SEO-Optimized Foundation" mean?
This means your site will be built with all technical best practices: fast load speed, a mobile-first responsive design, clean code, logical page structure, and on-page elements (like image alt-text). This gives you the strongest possible start for your ideal clients to discover you on Google.
Will I be able to update my portfolio and manage the website myself?
Absolutely! I build all my clients' websites using WordPress because its no-code capabilities make it easy for non-coders to interact with and manage the website. After launch, I will provide you with a video walkthrough showing you exactly how to manage your website easily.
Do you provide the website text (copywriting)?
Yes. We include strategic, on-brand copywriting in our service. We find this is critical to achieving a high-end, conversion-focused result. You will not need to write any text yourself; we'll handle it from discovery to launch.
