I will create a custom interactive map for your website

About this gig
Have locations or other information you'd like people to explore online?
I can turn your data into a custom interactive web map that visitors can click, browse, and explore right in their browser.
Interactive maps are great for showing:
- Business, property, event, or service locations
- Research or community information
- Neighborhoods, districts, routes, or other areas
- Information that's easier to understand on a map than in a spreadsheet
Depending on the package, your map can include clickable popups, multiple layers, filters, legends, custom styling, and other simple controls.
You don't need to know anything about GIS or web mapping. Just tell me what you'd like people to see and do, and I'll help figure out the best approach.
I build maps with Leaflet and can use QGIS to prepare the data when needed.
Please message me before ordering if your project involves a large amount of data preparation, custom databases, user accounts, complex web development, or ongoing hosting.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Basic, Standard, and Premium packages?
Basic is best for a simple clickable map using one main dataset. Standard adds richer interaction such as multiple layers, a legend, or simple filters. Premium is for a more customized map with additional controls, styling, and reasonable help adding it to an existing website.
I’m not sure which package I need. Can you help?
Yes, please message me with a brief description of your data and what you would like visitors to be able to see or do. I can recommend the most appropriate package or suggest a custom offer if needed.
What do I need to provide?
Please provide the location or geographic data you would like displayed, along with a description of what the map should show. You can also send branding colors, examples, or a link to the website where the map may eventually appear.
What types of data can you use?
I can work with common formats such as GeoJSON, Shapefile, GeoPackage, KML, CSV, and spreadsheets containing usable location information. If you are unsure about your files, feel free to contact me first.
Will the map work on phones and tablets?
I will design the map to work responsively across common screen sizes whenever the requested features allow it. Very complex maps or unusually large datasets may require additional optimization.
Will you host or add the map to my website?
Ongoing web hosting is not included. I will provide the completed web-map files, and Premium can include reasonable assistance adding the map to an existing compatible website or hosting account. Please contact me first if you need deployment help.
What counts as a revision?
A revision covers reasonable changes to the agreed map, such as colors, labels, popup content, or minor layout adjustments. New datasets, new features, or major changes to the original functionality may require an additional charge.
Do I need to know anything about GIS or web mapping?
Not at all. Describe your goal in everyday language, such as “I want visitors to click our locations and see details” or “I want users to filter locations by category.” I can translate that into the appropriate map features.
