I've been working with C++ for over a year, focusing mainly on debugging and diagnostics — dangling pointers, use-after-free, and similar issues. I work primarily on Linux, using tools like Valgrind to pinpoint the root cause, not just patch the symptom. With Nix, I can reproduce a client's exact environment, which is often key for hard-to-reproduce bugs.
