I will build a custom macos menu bar app or chrome extension for your team

About this gig
Hi, I'm Chris. Some jobs are twenty seconds of work and four minutes of getting to them. Open the app, find the window, remember where the setting was.
A menu bar app or a browser extension puts it where you're already looking.
Things these can be: a switch that keeps your Mac awake so an overnight render doesn't die. A shelf you drag files onto and drag back out somewhere else. A panel in your browser showing today's tasks from something you already use. Or a button that files or renames or sends the thing you always file or rename or send.
Built with native code rather than a browser pretending to be an app, so it stays out of your way and survives a reboot and the next macOS update.
Installing is one double-click. Uninstalling is one double-click and actually removes it, with nothing left behind. For a team you get an update file your colleagues run themselves, so you're not walking round the office.
You keep the source code.
Tell me the one thing you want to stop doing by hand. If it isn't worth building I'll say so before you order.

FAQ
Will this work on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs?
Both, on macOS 13 and later. Tell me the oldest Mac in the office and I'll build against that one.
What can a browser extension actually reach?
Anything on a page you've got open, plus any service with an API. It can't reach other programs on your computer. That's a job for a menu bar app.
Is it signed? Will macOS block it?
For internal use it comes with clear first-run instructions. Proper signing needs your own Apple Developer account, but I'm happy to build with your certificate if you have one.
