I will setup aws ec2 node js app deploy nextjs app on hetzner vps live site nginx
About this Gig
Your app works on your machine and now it has to run on a real server, with a domain, https and nobody babysitting it. I deploy your Node.js, Next.js or NestJS project on a VPS or AWS EC2 and leave it live, secure and watched.
This is for you if:
- it is built and runs locally
- you want it on Hetzner, DigitalOcean or AWS EC2
- you want to understand what I did, not only receive a login
This is not for you if you need code changed, a pipeline (see my CI/CD gig), Kubernetes, or an old database merged in.
What you get:
- Docker container behind Nginx, on your domain with a free SSL certificate
- it restarts itself after a crash or a reboot
- firewall on, SSH by key only, no root password login
- uptime alert that emails you if the site goes down
- written notes: where things live and how to redeploy
- Standard and Premium: a separate dev site next to the live one
- Premium: nightly database backup and a restore I test with you
I need: server or cloud login, DNS access for your domain, the repository, and your env values.
Message me before ordering so I can confirm your stack and the right tier.

FAQ
Is it safe to give you server access?
Create a fresh user I can revoke, or add my SSH key and remove it when I finish. I never need your root password, your billing login or your registrar login. DNS needs one or two records, which I can give you to add.
What is not included?
App code changes, bug fixes inside your app, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, mail servers and merging old databases into a new one. If your app fails to start because of its code, I send you the exact error and stop there.
How long does it take?
Live on One Server takes 2 days, Dev and Live Sites 4, Live, Watched, Backed Up 6. Time counts from when I have your server, domain access and repository. Late access moves the date, so send everything early.
What if my app only works on localhost?
That is the usual starting point. I run it the way a server runs it: production build, real env values, and a process that restarts. If the build fails because of the code, you get the exact error and a pointer.
Which servers and providers do you use?
Hetzner, DigitalOcean and AWS EC2, on Ubuntu. No server yet? Tell me your app and traffic and I name a plan size before you buy anything. You keep the account and the billing, and I never buy a server for you.
Will I know if the site goes down?
Yes. Every tier includes an uptime check that emails you when the site stops answering and again when it is back. You get the address it watches and the steps to change the alert email whenever you want.
What happens to my data if the server dies?
remium sets a nightly database backup and I test a restore with you. Live on One Server and Dev and Live Sites include no backups, so choose Premium if your app stores customer data that you cannot afford to lose.
Can I update the app myself later?
Yes. The notes list the exact commands to pull new code and restart the app, and it takes a few minutes. For updates that go live on every merge, you need a pipeline, and that is a separate gig of mine.
What if I need changes after delivery?
Revisions cover fixes to what I set up, like a wrong redirect or a certificate error. A second app, a new server or moving data over is new scope. Message me and I will confirm what fits before you order.
Why message you before ordering?
So I can check your stack, your provider and whether old data has to be kept, before you pick a tier. A rebuild after a crash or a data merge costs more than a fresh setup, and I would rather say that up front.
