I build the other kind. The bot answers only from your content, and if the answer is not there, it says so. I built an assistant like this over 300,000 business records for a consulting company. Every answer shows the exact case it came from, so people can check it. My own AI product runs on the same rule, and people pay to use it every day.
There are really just two kinds of bots you might need:
1. Expert bot. Knows your pages, your FAQ, your method. Talks like you. Never goes off script.
2. Knowledge bot. Reads everything you have - documents, PDFs, even old scans - and shows the source behind every answer.

FAQ
Will it make things up, like ChatGPT does?
No, and that is the whole point of how I build these. The bot is only allowed to answer from your content. If the answer is not there, it says so instead of inventing one. On the Premium bot every answer also shows the source it came from, so anyone can check it.
What can it learn from?
Website pages, documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, past cases - even scans and screenshots, which it reads with OCR. If your knowledge is a mess of files, that mess is exactly the raw material.
Which AI is it on?
OpenAI or Claude, your choice. I build on a layer where the provider can be swapped, so you are never locked into one vendor.
Our data is confidential. Where does it live?
It can run entirely on your own server, so your data never leaves your side. Tell me your privacy constraints on the call and I will tell you what setup they honestly require.
Can we change the bot ourselves later?
Yes. On the Premium bot the content and even the bot's behavior are edited from an admin panel, so your team tunes it without a developer.
What exactly happens in the Basic audit?
