I will build payment subscription billing with reliable webhooks

About this gig
A payment system is only finished when it behaves correctly on the bad days: a card declines at renewal, a webhook arrives twice, a customer upgrades mid-cycle.
I build Stripe billing that accounts for those days from the start.
What gets handled properly:
- Webhook signature verification, idempotency and retry-safe processing
- Proration, trials, coupons, plan changes and cancellations
- Failed payment recovery and dunning emails
- SCA / 3D Secure
- Stripe Connect for marketplaces and split payments
- Reconciliation, so your database and Stripe never disagree
PayPal recurring billing and SagePay / Opayo (3DS2) are also covered.
Before writing code, I review your current flow and send a short plan listing the edge cases it needs to cover. You approve it, then I build, test in sandbox against failure scenarios and hand over documented code.
If billing is already live and misbehaving, say so in your message. That is usually the faster project.

FAQ
What happens if Stripe sends the same webhook twice?
Each event is stored and processed once, using its event ID. Duplicates are acknowledged and ignored, so customers are never charged or upgraded twice.
Can you fix a billing integration someone else built?
Yes. I start with a read-only review of the code and Stripe logs, then send a list of what is wrong and in what order to fix it.
Do you test with real cards?
Everything is tested in sandbox, including failures: declines, expired cards, disputes and delayed webhooks. A final live check is done with you using a small amount.
Which stacks do you work with?
Laravel and Node.js mainly. If your stack is different, send details and I’ll say honestly whether I’m the right fit.
