I use Claude Code every day and build AI into the products I ship: open-source apps that run Claude Code as their engine, a Claude Code skill that drives a full video pipeline, and LLM features with validation checks so model output never reaches your users unchecked.
What I'll build:

What is an MCP server?
It's a small service that gives AI assistants a set of tools, like "search orders" or "create ticket", each with clear inputs and permissions. The AI calls them instead of guessing.
Which AI apps can use it?
Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and the growing list of MCP-compatible clients, including OpenAI's agent tooling. I'll set it up in the ones you use.
Can the AI change data, or only read it?
Both. Write actions get their own permissions and can require confirmation, so nothing destructive happens by accident.
Do I need an API key?
For Claude Desktop, Claude Code or Cursor, you use your existing subscription. For a hosted agent, you'll need your own Anthropic or OpenAI API key, billed to your account.
