Northwest Ohio based, regional multi-instrumentalist. Specializing in electric and upright bass across a multitude of genres spanning from jazz to the top hits of today. Jazz educated with a Masters degree in Music Performance. Proficient with music notation software such as finale, sibelius, and more; as well as audio engineering within Pro Tools.
FAQ
How do you record your tracks?
The process goes: bass > pedalboard > audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 18i8) > DAW (Pro Tools)
What format are the audio files?
Two WAV files: 44.1 kHz WAV Isolated bass track and one with my own processing. I also send the corresponding MP3 files as well as one mixed in with your track. If you need another format feel free to reach out and I can send it!
What basses do you use?
I use: ZON Sonus American Custom 5 string 1976 Fender Jazz Bass Reverend Mercalli 5 String Fender Precision Moniker Custom Yamaha Fretless Eminence Upright Bass
Do you play pre-written basslines or create them from scratch?
I am open to any and all creative input! I can read sheet music, tab, chord charts, etc. Or i can create a line from scratch. I am also more than willing to play something you have already written. I can be as involved or detached from the creative process as you'd like!
Do I have to provide sheet music or charts?
Not at all! I can learn any song you send by ear. If you have a chord chart that'll help me quickly learn the tune, and if you have sheet music that'll help me see exactly what you'd like; otherwise I learn the song by ear.
Do you offer lessons?
Yes I do!
Is there multiple songs / full album discounts?
Yes there are! Message me and we can set up a custom bundle for you.
What effects do you have?
I have a ZCAT chorus/hold pedal, EHX Pitchfork, Fulltone OCD, ZOOM Bass Multistomp, Delay, and Boss RC30 on my board. I have a plethora of plugins on Pro Tools.
Do you record video?
Yes, make sure to select "record video" in the extra options.
