About this gig
The Philly Raw Rap mixtape series gives upcoming underground hip-hop artists a chance to shine by bringing their music to the brings underground of their strong social media following of over 11K fans span out on X (Twitter), IG, FB, YouTube, Spotify and large email list.
We accept Old School Boom-bap Philly & NY style rap for our Philly Raw Rap mixtape series as well as Horrorcore and Trap for additional mixtapes.
*Mixtapes are released on the Philly Raw Rap Bandcamp and Playlisted on Spotify every 3-6 months based on volume of submissions (5-20 tracks needed per project with intros added by host).
BASIC PLAN:
Get your track placed on a FREE release on our Bandcamp. Previously released tracks on Spotify will be playlisted into a Mixtape as well. Your track will be mixed into a single cassette style tape on YouTube as well with all submissions.
STANDARD PLAN:
Track submission Must Be Exclusive and permissions given to upload track to the Philly Raw Rap Distrokid. A 50% revenue share for your track will be given if you have Distrokid. Includes all other promo as well.
PREMIUM PLAN:
Includes all of STANDARD PLAN & Generic Remix of your track to be placed on a 2nd Mixtape.

A veteran in the Philly Hip-Hop scene since 2009, Shoto Khan has opened up for local legends Reef the Lost Cause (AOTP) & Adlib as well international sensations such as Kotton Mouth Kings, Madchild, Wildcard and more. Teaming up with fellow Philly rap artist Al Mal aka AdotWAKE in 2010, Shoto Khan would go on to form the super rap group Dogs Of God with many local underground rap artists to promote unity within the Philadelphia Hip-Hop scene. Moving on to form rap duo group Dead Disciples with Dogs of God artist Mark Rottin, the group gained quick popularity in the Philly Raw Rap scene.

When will projects be released
Mixtape releases range between every 1-6 months depending on volume of submissions. You will be notified when a project is released.
What is the name of the mixtape I will be on and how many tracks are on it?
The number of tracks depend on the amount of submissions we receive within a 6 month period and projects can range from an EP mixtape of 5-9 tracks to a full mixtape of 10-20 tracks with a designated host creating intros on your track for the Bandcamp release.
How does the revenue share work?
If you have Distrokid, if you provide us with your Distrokid account email, we can automatically have 50% of all revenue earned on the release of your track what we upload via our Philly Raw Rap Distrokid (ie iTunes, Amazon, Spotify etc) distributed directly into your Distrokid account!
What if I don't have Distrokid, can I still get a revenue share?
Unfortunately no, as Distrokid is the only method of sharing revenue at this time. You can either set up a Distrokid account before you order, or you can opt out of the 10% revenue share if you still wish your track to be placed on the Philly Raw Rap Distrokid for promotion.
