Peer-to-peer or dedicated server, which do you use?
Depends on the game, 90% of the time P2P. Peer-to-peer is quicker to set up and fine for smaller player counts. A dedicated server holds up better if you want persistence or more players online at once.
Do I need a Steam App ID before you can start?
No . Most of the gameplay and multiplayer work doesn't depend on it, so I can get going without one . We need it before final Steam-specific testing and before you publish.
Do I fully own the game and code once it's delivered?
Yes. Full ownership, source code included, nothing to license back from me later
I'm not that technical, will I understand what's happening during the project?
Most people ordering a game aren't Unreal developers, so don't worry about it. I keep updates in plain language throughout
Do you work in Unreal Engine 4 or 5?
I will do your project in UE5. I started on UE4 years back though, so if you've already got a UE4 project running, I can usually still pick it up.
