FAQ
Can the approver change based on the amount or department?
Yes. For example, requests under $1,000 go to the manager and larger ones also go to finance. I keep the rules in a SharePoint list so you can change approvers without editing the flow.
Can people approve from Teams or their phone?
Yes. Approvals show in the Teams Approvals app and as actionable emails in Outlook, on desktop and mobile.
Our SharePoint 2013 workflow stopped working. Can you rebuild it in Power Automate?
Yes. Microsoft retired SharePoint 2013 workflows in Microsoft 365 on April 2, 2026. Send me what the workflow did, with any screenshots or notes, and I'll rebuild it as a Power Automate flow.
Do I need a premium license for SharePoint approvals?
No. The Approvals, SharePoint, Outlook and Teams connectors are standard, so most Microsoft 365 business plans cover them.
