Is your app slowing down at peak traffic even though "autoscaling is on"? Or do you need a production EKS cluster built properly from day one?
I set up and fix Kubernetes on AWS EKS. Common problems I solve: HPA not scaling because of missing requests or metrics, nodes not being added, and databases running out of connections under load.
What I do:
- New EKS cluster with Terraform: VPC, node groups or Karpenter, IAM (IRSA)
- Helm deployments, Ingress (ALB or Nginx) and SSL
- HPA plus Cluster Autoscaler or Karpenter, and KEDA for queue-based workers
- RDS connection pooling (RDS Proxy or PgBouncer)
- Monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana or CloudWatch
- Load test to prove it scales, plus a written summary
