1. Do I need to contact you before placing an order?
Yes. Please contact me before ordering so I can review your requirements, confirm the project complexity, and recommend the correct package. This helps prevent delays or cancellations.
2. What information do you need to start the project?
Please provide a sketch, technical drawing, reference image, dimensions, existing file, or a clear explanation of your idea. The more accurate the information is, the better the final model will be.
3. What file formats will I receive?
Depending on the selected package, I can deliver STL, STEP, PDF technical drawings, model images, and an editable Onshape source document. Please check each package before ordering.
4. Can you design a model from a photo or hand-drawn sketch?
Yes, provided that the image or sketch clearly shows the shape and you supply the necessary dimensions. If measurements are missing, the model may only be an approximation.
5. Can you create models for 3D printing?
Yes. I can create models intended for 3D printing and deliver STL and STEP files. However, printing results may vary depending on the printer, material, orientation, and print settings.
6. Do you create technical drawings?
Yes. Basic technical drawings are included in the Standard and Premium packages. Detailed manufacturing drawings, GD&T, or multiple sheets may require a custom offer.
7. Can you modify an existing 3D model?
Yes. I can modify STEP, STL, Parasolid, and other compatible CAD files. Please send me the file before ordering so I can verify whether it can be edited properly.
8. What is included in a revision?
A revision includes reasonable adjustments to the original design requirements. A completely new concept, major dimensional changes, or additional components are not considered revisions and may require an extra charge.
9. Do you design large assemblies or safety-critical parts?
This gig does not cover large assemblies, certified engineering analysis, advanced simulations, or safety-critical components. Contact me first if your project requires additional engineering work.
10. Will my design remain confidential?
Yes. Your files and project information will not be intentionally shared with third parties. If you require a formal NDA, please send it before placing the order so I can review its terms.
