I teach music privately to adults, helping others build the skills they need for their own musical goals. For me, that starts with understanding what they want to achieve, what they already know and how much time they realistically have available for learning. In my lessons we connect theory with sound and practical playing. That means that the explanations, exercises or repertoire are there for a purpose, adjusted as students progress or encounter difficulties. This way to approach learning has helped students develop skills that are really relevant to the music they want to make. The main goal is to give students a clear understanding of what they are learning and how to use it, while keeping their own interests and choices central to the process.
