Yes — hand sketches, site sketches and photos are all fine. The clearer the sketch and the more dimensions you provide, the more accurate the result. If anything is unreadable, I'll ask before drafting.
Will the drawing be to scale?
Yes, drawn true 1:1 in model space. Give me at least one known dimension and I'll scale the whole drawing from it; without one, I'll match your source's proportions and confirm with you.
