I will developmentally edit your fiction project
Developmental Editor, Literacy Advocate, and Indie Publishing Mentor
About this Gig
Your story deserves more than a proofread. As a developmental editor with 7+ years in indie publishing and an MA in English & Professional Writing, I specialize in helping indie and underrepresented authors shape manuscripts that are structurally sound, emotionally resonant, and ready for the world.
Whether you're untangling a plot that isn't quite clicking, deepening your characters, or preparing for self-publication or querying, I offer the kind of thoughtful, big-picture feedback that helps your story become what it was always meant to be.
I work especially well with writers in the fiction, children's literature, and memoir spaces and I'm deeply committed to amplifying voices that mainstream publishing too often overlooks.
Choose the package that meets you where you are and let's grow your story forward.

What's the difference between developmental editing and proofreading?
Developmental editing is big-picture work. I'm looking at your story's structure, pacing, character arcs, voice, and overall narrative flow. Proofreading, on the other hand, is surface-level—catching typos, grammar errors, and punctuation.
What genres do you work with?
I work primarily with fiction (literary, contemporary, thriller, fantasy, and romance), children's literature, and memoir. If you're unsure whether your project is a good fit, feel free to message me before ordering!
Will you work with first-time writers?
Absolutely—in fact, it's one of my favorite things to do. I believe every writer deserves access to quality editorial support, regardless of where they are in their journey. My feedback is always honest, encouraging, and designed to help you grow—not discourage you.
Do you offer personalized pricing and editing services?
Sure! If you need a quote for ad hoc edits or a word count currently not covered in one of the packages, feel free to contact me!
Do you offer rush delivery?
Yes! Rush delivery is available as a gig add-on for an additional fee, depending on the package and word count. Message me before placing your order so we can confirm availability and make sure I can give your manuscript the attention it deserves—even on a tighter timeline.
