About this Gig
A strong screenplay starts long before the first line of dialogue. It starts with a story worth following.
Im Dorothy, a professional screenwriter and story developer helping filmmakers, producers, authors, and creators turn ideas, rough concepts, and unfinished drafts into structured, engaging screenplays.
I specialize in movie scripts, feature films, short films, TV pilots, TV series, and stage plays. My approach focuses on the elements that make a story work on screen: plot structure, character arcs, conflict, pacing, dialogue, scene development, emotional beats, and visual storytelling.
My services include:
- Movie script & screenplay writing
- Feature & short film scripts
- TV pilot & series writing
- Story and plot development
- Character & dialogue development
- Script editing and rewriting
- Novel-to-screen adaptation
- Loglines, treatments & synopses
- Professional screenplay formatting
Already have a draft? I can help identify weak areas and reshape the story. Starting with an idea? I can help develop the foundation before writing the screenplay.
Your story remains yours. I bring structure, creative direction, and careful storytelling to help it work on the page
